Toughest iPad case, or how you can dress you iPad in Kevlar

If you really care about you iPad and want to keep it safe, perhaps your best option right now is this Parabellum iPad case. Why? Well, because this is not the ordinary case you find in stores, not at all.

First of all, this is a Folio case, so comes with a flippable protection cover for the screen. Then, it’s made out of leather, but not any leather: hand skived Reservation Bison leather. Talk about luxury businesses killing endangered animals, ay… Liner inside is made from Lamb skin, to ensure best protection for your device. And there’s also some neoprene in the mix, for shock absorption.

But that’s not all. Do you know what’s used for bulletproof vests and helmets by the army? Kevlar. So guess what does this cover have inside in order to give it strength? Well yes, a layer of Kevlar, just between that bison leather and lamb skin. The snaps used on it are Military grade also, covered in ceramic. Not sure why you’d want such fancy snaps, but if you can have them, why not? So you might say this is the bulletproof iPad tough case you were looking for, one that could withstand all you can trow at it.

Now, I’ve yet to see this accessory live, and i doubt I ever will. Because Parabellum plans to sell it for staggering $600.  So you must really love your gadget a lot if you plan going for one of these. Cause yes, that’s more expensive than the iPad itself. But hey, if you can afford it, I doubt you could find anything that looks better and is capable of better keeping your toy safe.

More details are available on Parabellum’s site, with other pictures too.

Of course, there are always the regular iPad cases and covers available for this device, with more human prices and yet good quality, like these iPad leather cases for instance. So if you don’t quite have 600 bucks to spend on a cover, or just don’t like Kevlar, you could take a look at those too.
