There are not so many of us who like using a virtual keyboard. Even on our phones, companies like HTC still put physical keyboards on some of their devices. Now, with tablet devices, this problem gets even bigger. So, Samsung is bringing an official keyboard dock for the Galaxy Tab users. It will have 83 keys, a charger and an audio jack and it is designed to work in portrait mode.

Also, there are a whole range of other accesories for Galaxy Tab that Samsung will bring on the market:

  • Multimedia Desk Dock with HDMI and audio jack, for £39.99;
  • Leather slip case for £24.99;
  • D30 Silicon/Gel case for £19.99;
  • Portable sound system for £19.99;
  • Headphones (in black and white versions) for £20;
  • Stand case made of leather which can be used to prop up the Tab, for £29.99;
  • Samsung High Speed Class 4 MicroSDHC memory cards (2 to 8 GB) starting from £8.99;
  • Travel Adapter for £35.99;
  • USB Data cable for £14.99;
  • In-car charger for £24.99;
  • TV-out cable for £14.99.

All these  accessories will be available starting 1st of Nov. in UK, although the keyboard dock will be available exclusively through Carphone Warehouse at launch.

Simon Stanford, Managing Director, Mobile, Samsung UK and Ireland said: “This range of accessories aims to complement the Galaxy Tab’s features and improve the experience the device offers – whether that’s listening to music, watching video content, playing games or editing documents.”

“We’re delighted to be able to announce a variety of accessories available at launch, with even more to come.”

Of course, there are already cases, speakers, memory cards, data cables available for the Galaxy Tab, but they are third party. Still, there are no third party keyboards docks fully featured for Galaxy Tab. There are some Bluetooth keyboards that can be used with it, but none with charging capabilities.

There is no word on the availability of these accessories in US or how much they will cost. Of course, there is no final price for Galaxy Tab either, so, we’ll just wait a bit longer.
